Terms of Use

These terms are intended to help ensure a safe and comfortable experience for all guests.

This website (hereinafter referred to as "the Site") is operated by Karunakarala Ayurveda Resort (hereinafter referred to as "the Resort"). By using the Site or making a reservation, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Reservations

Reservations made through the Site are considered confirmed once a reservation confirmation email is issued by the Resort.

Reservations are subject to the Resort’s policies, including cancellation policies and payment terms.

The Resort may refuse or cancel reservations in cases of suspected fraud, incorrect information, or violation of these Terms.

2. Payment

Payment conditions may vary depending on the reservation type or promotion.

When advance payment is required, the reservation will only be confirmed after successful payment processing.

The Resort is not responsible for payment failures caused by credit card providers, payment gateways, or banking systems.

3. Check-in and Check-out

Check-in begins at 14:00.

Check-out time is 12:00 noon.

Early check-in or late check-out may be available depending on room availability and may incur additional charges.

4. Ayurveda Treatments

Ayurveda programs at the Resort are provided under the guidance of qualified Ayurveda doctors in accordance with traditional Ayurveda practices in Sri Lanka.

Treatment plans and schedules are determined based on medical consultation and may vary depending on the guest’s condition and professional assessment.

Guests are responsible for informing the Resort of any relevant medical conditions, allergies, or medications prior to treatment.

Guests participate in treatments and wellness programs with their own understanding and consent.

5. Guest Responsibility

Guests are responsible for their personal belongings during their stay.

Guests may be held responsible for damages caused to rooms, facilities, or property due to negligence or misuse.

The Resort may request compensation for damages when necessary.

6. Prohibited Actions

The following actions are not permitted:

• Providing false or misleading information

• Causing inconvenience or harm to other guests or staff

• Damaging Resort property

• Any illegal activity

• Any behavior that disrupts the peaceful environment of the Resort

In such cases, the Resort may refuse service or request guests to leave the property.

7. Disclaimer

The Resort strives to provide accurate information on the Site but does not guarantee its completeness or accuracy.

Information on the Site may be modified or removed without prior notice.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Resort shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of this Site or services provided through it.

9. External Links

The Site may contain links to external websites operated by third parties.

The Resort is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of such websites.

10. Information Security

The Resort takes appropriate measures to ensure the security of data transmitted through the Site.

However, the Resort does not guarantee absolute security of information transmitted via the internet.

11. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made 30 days or more before arrival: No cancellation fee.

Cancellations made 14–29 days before arrival: 50% of the total amount will be charged.

Cancellations made 4–13 days before arrival: 80% of the total amount will be charged.

Cancellations made 0–3 days before arrival: 100% of the total amount will be charged.

No-shows and early departures will be charged 100% of the total amount.

All cancellation or change requests must be made in writing (email).

12. Force Majeure

The Resort shall not be held responsible for failure or delay in fulfilling obligations due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, government actions, epidemics, transportation disruptions, or other force majeure events.

13. Dispute Resolution

If any dispute arises in connection with the use of the Site or reservations made through it, the guest and the Resort will first attempt to resolve the matter through good-faith discussion.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka.

Any disputes that cannot be resolved through discussion shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.

15. Changes to the Terms

The Resort reserves the right to update these Terms when necessary.

Continued use of the Site constitutes acceptance of any updates.

Privacy Policy

Karunakarala Ayurveda Resort ("the Resort") is committed to protecting the personal information of our guests.
