In a significant step towards environmental sustainability, Mr. Saman Priyankara, Chairman of Karunakarala Group, presented a Rs. 5 million voucher to His Excellency, the President of Sri Lanka, on behalf of the Sri Lanka Association in Japan (SLAJ), in support of the Clean Sri Lanka Project. The presentation took place during the official opening ceremony held at the President’s Office.
Karunakarala Ayurveda Resort, as a brand committed to eco-conscious hospitality and sustainable tourism, strongly supports initiatives that promote environmental preservation. While the donation was made under the name of SLAJ, Karunakarala stands proudly with the project’s vision for a cleaner, greener Sri Lanka.
The Clean Sri Lanka Project is a national initiative aimed at protecting and restoring the country’s natural beauty through sustainable waste management, conservation efforts, and community-driven environmental programs. The contribution from SLAJ and the involvement of Karunakarala highlight the strong bond between Sri Lanka and the Sri Lankan community in Japan, working together toward a better future.

Karunakaralaグループ会長、スリランカ大統領へ「Clean Sri Lanka Project」支援として500万ルピーの寄付券を贈呈
環境持続性への大きな一歩として、Karunakaralaグループの会長であるSaman Priyankara氏が、在日スリランカ人協会（SLAJ）を代表し、「Clean Sri Lanka Project」支援のため、スリランカ大統領閣下に500万ルピーの寄付券を手渡しました。この寄付は、大統領府にて開催された公式オープニングセレモニーの場で行われました。
Karunakarala Ayurveda Resortは、環境に配慮したホスピタリティと持続可能な観光を理念として掲げており、今回のプロジェクトの趣旨にも深く共感しています。この取り組みへの参加は、私たちの「よりクリーンでグリーンなスリランカを実現する」という信念を反映するものです。
