Connecting with New Zealand & Australia – Sri Lanka Tourism Roadshow 2026

Connecting with New Zealand and Australia

From 31 August to 9 September 2026, we participated in the Sri Lanka Tourism Roadshow & B2B Meetings 2026, organised by the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB).

The roadshow took us across five cities — Christchurch, Auckland, Sydney, Adelaide and Perth — bringing Sri Lankan tourism businesses together with travel agents, tour operators and other tourism professionals in New Zealand and Australia.

Through one-to-one B2B meetings and networking sessions, we had the opportunity to introduce our resort and share what an authentic Ayurveda stay in Sri Lanka is really like.

It was especially encouraging to see the growing interest in Ayurveda and wellness travel across both countries. Some of the people we met were already familiar with Ayurveda, while for others it was something completely new.

These conversations gave us an opportunity to share not only what we offer at the resort, but also the philosophy of Ayurveda, the role of our Ayurveda doctors, and how an Ayurveda stay can offer time to step away from everyday life and focus on wellbeing.

Five Cities, Many New Connections

The journey began in Christchurch on 31 August, followed by Auckland on 1 September, Sydney on 3 September, Adelaide on 7 September, and Perth on 9 September.

Alongside the B2B meetings, the programme included Sri Lanka Tourism presentations, networking opportunities, cultural performances and gala dinners, creating many opportunities to connect with the local travel industry.

Between the sessions, I also had some time to experience New Zealand and Australia for myself.

Both countries left a wonderful impression on me — beautiful nature, warm and welcoming people, and a relaxed atmosphere that made the journey memorable beyond the business meetings.

Travelling ourselves is also a valuable reminder that a journey is shaped not only by where we go, but by the people we meet and the experiences we have along the way.

We are grateful to the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau, as well as everyone we met throughout the five-city roadshow.
